Early this morning I got a call from my cousin telling me that one of my past friends from our village was killed. It was very shocking. He was a young man with a young kid and was the chief breadwinner in his family. I won’t go into too much details as to how it happened for the sake of the family involved.

The main point I want to drive home to you all is that life is short. It is very brief and we have to ready to accept the fact that one day we will not be around in this planet any longer and we need to cherish life each and every day.

<script type="text/javascript"

Life is one of the greatest blessings that we have and we are not to take it for granted. One day you will leave this earth and I hope that people will be able to speak highly about you. This young man taught me how to play the drums in church and I’ve been playing longer than him but I still am not as good as him.

We need to be careful of how we live our lives right now because what we do each day tends to affect our entire future. I want us to be careful of who we choose to be our friends because our friends have the capability to lead us down the wrong path and can put us into seriously dangerous circumstances like in the movie Taken.

We need to realise that life is a gift from God and we can either use it or abuse it. Some of you may have some friends who died at an early age. I’m not here to force my belief on anyone but I’ll just share that I believe that depending on how we live our life now will depend whether we see heaven or not.

Here’s what I want you to do.

1. Value life each day by making the most of each day
2. Spend time and think about what you want people to say about you when you are gone
3. Spend time and think about what happens to you after death and decide what you will do with that knowledge.

Realise that life is brief and live it to the full!!

Hello there. How are you today. I hope all is well with you. Today I want to share with you a simple concept to overcome worry in your life.

A few days ago I found myself doing one of the worst things that we as human beings tend to do and that is focusing on what we don’t have. You see I saw someone or should I say a group of people with something that I always wanted but for the time being I have never been able to acquire it as yet. It is too personal for me to reveal right now but I found myself being very concerned and even feeling a little down because of not having it.

Anyway as I was going through the day I saw somethings that made me have a very different perspective on my problem. I saw a woman who had to be carried by a man because she had trouble walking, I met a girl who was very young and has been continually sick for years now and doctors can’t seem to cure her.

I began to realise just how great my life is and that there are people out there who will do anything to trade places with me and to have my problems to be there biggest problems.

I am sure that some of you are like that too. I read this quote in a Dale Carnegie book that said

‘I had the blues cause I had no shoes,

When upon the street I saw a man who had no feet.’

Dale Carnegie went on to say that about 90 percent of the things in our lives are right and about 10 percent are wrong. If we want to be happy, all we have to do is to focus on the 9o percent that are right and ignore the 10 percent that are wrong. If we want to be worried and bitter and have stomach ulcers, all we have to do is focus on the 10 percent that are wrong and ignore the 90 percent that are glorious.

I want you to right now take out a sheet of paper and spend about 15 minutes writing everything you are thankful for. When you do this exercise you will realise just how blessed you are and it will be foolishness to continue to dwell on what you don’t have.

So start counting your blessings today. Don’t think your blessings don’t count!!!

Good day folks how are you all doing? I hope all is well. Today’s post is a personal experience that I had and I will like to share it with you. In the last post I talked about changing the world and in today’s post I want to share how a simple compliment can go a long way for people.

A few months ago I got an email from Joe Kasper of Fireyourdiet.com who is an extremely helpful person in the area of fitness and health. Now I am a person who subscribes to a lot of online newsletters from many business people and Joe was just one of the hundreds I subscribe too!!! By the way I never knew Joe nor does he know me!

Anyway the email I got from Joe was that he wanted to know the birthdays of his subscribers so that when there birthday comes he will give them one of his paid products for free and you can pick which product you want. I was astonished at this and I found that this was a great thing he was doing.

Now I wanted to get one of his free products when it was time for my birthday so here is the email I sent him

i am brian ramdhan. My birthday is 3rd March 1983. My contact no. is xxxxxxx.(Intentionally left out)

Let me just say that this is a wonderful thing you are doing and I havent seen any other marketer do this before!!!! Keep it up!!!!!!!!!!!

That was all I sent in the email and I want you to know that I was genuine in my compliment to him. I didn’t want or expect anything from him. Guess what happened?

A few minutes after I got a call from Joe Kasper himself and I was overwhelmed! He was extremely excited to talk to me and he said he was very appreciative of what I had said and he told me that even though it wasn’t my birthday he wanted to send me not one, but two of his products for free just because of those kind words from me!!! I was shocked.

I really didn’t expect anything from him. I was just trying to be sincere. I did not think that such a small compliment could mean so much to an extremely successful person as Joe Kasper!!! I got the products within a few weeks time. I just needed to cover the shipping!

I say all of this in order to say that the small things are in fact the big things!!! A simple compliment, a simple smile for someone can go such a long way you will not realize it until you do it. The world is crying out for people to just send a small touch of goodness their way!!

I am asking you to sincerely be a person who will change the world one compliment at a time!!!

And to Joe Kasper – Thanks for the free books!!!

Good day my friends. Today I will like to share a personal experience with you that I hope may move you forward in your life and help you to realize just how blessed you really are!

Just a few days ago I noticed a button under my left foot. It was one of those buttons that looked like a huge pimple that you usually get sometimes on your face. I got scared when I saw that. For the next few days I could not even walk good. It felt really horrible!

I then got so fed up of not being able to walk properly that I decided to burst the button myself. I burst the button and a lot of pus ended up coming out of it but the button was gone. I was happy that I could walk a lot better. However, after about 24 hours the button came back once again. Now this really had me a little worried! I decided that I needed to seek medical attention concerning this problem!

A few days later I went to a doctor and he looked at it and he said he may need to inject the foot and burn up the infection that he was seeing. Gosh, my heart could have almost jumped out of my body. However, he gave me a chance by telling me that he will give me some antibiotics and see if that gets rid of the infection and I will have to visit him after 2 days so he will see if it worked or if he needed to burn the infection.

I went home both relieved and scared at the same time. I took the antibiotics as prescribed and I prayed and prayed and had other people praying that the doctor would not have to burn the infection.

Two days later I went and the doctor said it was fine and there was no problem! I was extremely happy!

I then began to look at life a bit differently! I began to see just how blessed we really are and how we take the little things for granted. We spend so much of our lives thinking that ‘the grass is greener on the other side’ when we don’t realize just how blessed we are right now. When I saw that I could walk again I saw how blessed I was just being able to walk. There are lots of people who will do anything to trade places with you and the current situation you are in right now. I heard someone remark that ‘Once I had the blues cause I had no shoes, when upon the street I saw a man who had no feet’.

We are blessed a whole lot and we need to realise that lot of the things that we got for free e.g. our health, our feet, our eyesight etc. are things we should not take for granted! There are people who will do anything they could to have what you have. So learn to start counting your blessings. Don’t feel your blessings don’t count!

Remember the next time you are feeling down, do as one of my mentors Og Mandino would do. Take a look at the newspaper and grab a look at the obituary section. There you will see lots of people who will do anything to trade places with you!!

STOP TAKING YOUR BLESSINGS FOR GRANTED!!!
